General Information on Data Processing

Legal Basis for the Processing of Personal Data

In accordance with Article 13 GDPR, we inform you of the legal bases for our data processing activities. Unless the specific legal basis is stated in this Privacy Policy, the following applies:

The legal basis for obtaining consent is Article 6(1)(a) in conjunction with Article 7 GDPR. The legal basis for processing personal data to provide our services, fulfil contractual obligations, implement contractual measures and respond to enquiries is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

The legal basis for processing personal data to comply with our legal obligations is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Where the processing of your personal data is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of our company or a third party, and these interests are not overridden by the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing.

Where the processing of personal data is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person, Article 6(1)(d) GDPR serves as the legal basis.

Data Deletion and Retention Periods

We comply with the principles of data minimisation pursuant to Article 5(1)(c) GDPR and storage limitation pursuant to Article 5(1)(e) GDPR.

We store your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy or as required by statutory retention periods. Once the respective purpose no longer applies or the relevant retention period has expired, the corresponding data will be deleted as soon as possible.

External Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites or other websites for which we are responsible. If you follow a link to a website outside our responsibility, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies.

We accept no responsibility or liability for these external websites or their privacy policies. We therefore recommend that you review their privacy policies before using these websites to ensure that you agree with them.

External links can be identified by their different colour or underlined appearance. Your cursor will also indicate external links when you hover over them.

Your personal data will only be transmitted to the destination of an external link when you click on it. In particular, the operator of the external website will receive your IP address, the time at which you clicked the link, the page from which you accessed the link and other information described in the respective provider’s privacy policy.

Please also note that certain links may result in the transfer of your data outside the European Economic Area. This could allow foreign authorities to access your data. You may not have any legal remedies against such access.

If you do not wish your personal data to be transferred to the destination of a link or potentially exposed to unwanted access by foreign authorities, please do not click on external links.

Rights of the Data Subject

As a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR, you have the right to exercise various rights.

Your rights under the GDPR include the right of access (Article 15), the right to rectification (Article 16), the right to erasure (Article 17), the right to restriction of processing (Article 18), the right to object (Article 21), the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority and the right to data portability (Article 20).

Right to Withdraw Consent

Certain data processing activities may only be carried out with your express consent.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Right to Object

Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data.

This right also applies to profiling within the meaning of Article 4(4) GDPR where such profiling is based on these provisions.

Unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, we will cease processing your personal data following your objection.

Where personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you also have the right to object at any time. The same applies to profiling insofar as it is related to direct marketing.

If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, we will no longer process your personal data for those purposes.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

In particular, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EU Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

Right to Data Portability

Where your personal data is processed by automated means on the basis of your consent or for the performance of a contract, you have the right to receive that data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

You also have the right to request that your data be transferred and made available to another controller, insofar as this is technically feasible.

Right of Access, Rectification and Erasure

You have the right to obtain information about your personal data that we process, including the purposes of processing, the categories of data, the recipients and the retention periods.

If you have any questions about these matters or any other questions concerning your personal data, please contact us using the contact details provided in our Legal Notice.

Right to Restriction of Processing

You may request the restriction of the processing of your personal data at any time, provided that one of the following conditions applies:

  • You contest the accuracy of your personal data. You have the right to request restriction of processing for the period necessary to verify its accuracy.
  • The processing is unlawful, and you request restriction of the use of your personal data instead of its erasure.
  • We no longer need your personal data for the purposes of processing, but you require it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. In this case, you may request restriction of processing instead of erasure.
  • You have objected to processing pursuant to Article 21(1) GDPR. In this case, your interests and our interests will be assessed. Until this assessment has been completed, you have the right to request restriction of processing.

Where processing has been restricted, your personal data may, apart from storage, only be processed with your consent, for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, to protect the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or an EU Member State.

SSL or TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential information, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the website operator, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption.

You can recognise an encrypted connection by the change from http:// to https:// in your browser’s address bar and by the padlock icon displayed in your browser.

Data Collection on This Website (Cookies)

Our websites use so-called cookies. Cookies are small data files that do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies).

Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable certain third-party services to be integrated into websites, such as cookies used to process payment services.

Cookies serve various purposes. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them, such as shopping cart functionality or video playback. Other cookies may be used to analyse user behaviour or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are necessary for electronic communication, the provision of certain functions requested by you (such as shopping cart functionality), or the optimisation of the website (such as cookies used to measure website audiences) are stored on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified.

The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies to ensure the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services.

Where consent has been requested for the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act (TDDDG)). Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set, allow cookies only in individual cases, reject cookies in certain circumstances or generally, and enable the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser.

Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Information about the cookies and services used on this website can be found in this Privacy Policy.

Such processing only takes place if you consent to it through the consent banner on our website.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Without your consent, the data processing described above will not take place.
