The success story of Kurz Elektronik

Milestones
in the company’s development

Founding of Kurz Elektronik
By developing his own oil pumps, electrical switches and signal lights, Gerhard Kurz laid the foundation for an innovative technology company.
Start of electronics manufacturing: Founding of UAB Litalka Elektronik
A decisive step in the company’s history: with the founding of UAB Litalka Elektronik in Lithuania, the potential of nearshoring was recognised at an early stage. By establishing this electronics production facility, Kurz Elektronik was able to offer high-quality products at competitive prices – a significant milestone for quality and flexibility.
Internationalisation: Founding of Kurz Haian
The Asian market was opened up with the founding of Kurz Haian. Since then, local production has enabled efficient supply to the Asian economic area and the procurement of materials at local prices. Since 2023, following a management buy-out (MBO), there has been a close partnership with the site, which is being further expanded
Integration into the Prettl Group
From 2016 to 2026, Kurz Elektronik was part of the globally active Prettl Group. With over 9,500 employees, Prettl offered a strong network and new opportunities for innovation, growth and international collaboration.
SUSTAINABILITY ́’21
Active participation in the Prettl-wide ‘GoZero’ project, which, in collaboration with Bosch, aimed to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions in the near future; in this way, Kurz Elektronik intended to contribute to climate neutrality in partnership with the then Prettl Group.
SUSTAINABILITY ’25
Active involvement in implementing measures to prevent the emission of climate-damaging greenhouse gases as part of the Klima-Fit project.
Validation of CSRD Requirements 2025
Validation of CSRD requirements within the Kurz Group via an external service provider to ensure long-term compliance with ESG requirements
